Planting seeds of learning
The first 5 years of a child's life are foundational for a healthy and happy future.
With experienced and certified teachers, we are skilled at creating a positive learning environment in which all children feel a sense of belonging. Their seeds are watered with love and care to sprout into beautiful, unique flowers.
In our classroom, we passionately nurture artistic expression for students aged 3-5 years old. Learners are given free rein to express their creativity through art and free play.
We have daily morning circles and guided activities to create a strong classroom community and develop students language skills.
Learning
Blended British EYFS and German curriculum with Montessori, Piaget, Steiner and Fröbel elements.
Combining all of the best aspects from educational philosophers and top international Early Years programs, we have a strong, international curriculum with learning goals and teaching techniques to help each child reach their potential.
Montessori toys and the classroom setup encourage critical thinking and problem solving skills while Fröbels philosophy encourages circle time and Steiner focuses on spirituality and creativity.
grounding
We practice mindfulness, social & emotional learning, and conscious care for our environment.
Children at Seeds of Phangan International Kindergarten develop social-emotional skills through interactions with peers. We also use positive modeling and communication to encourage pro-social behavior.
We practice meditation, yoga, gong bath and other calming techniques to help children learn how to identify and regulate their emotions and develop empathy and compassion towards others.
Working with natural materials and directly in nature, young learners gain respect, knowledge and care for our environment.
growing
We stay up to date on the latest research in education to grow learners' 21st century skills.
We firmly believe in the researched and true Growth Mindset and are trained to nurture each child to develop a growth mindset. This allows them to believe that their talents and skills can be achieved through hard work.
We also foster the growth of 21st century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication. These are crucial skills to have for adapting in the rapidly evolving world.
Following Piaget's theory of autonomy, we focus on the way we communicate with children about points of view and right versus wrong. This allows them to gain moral awareness and the ability to make decisions empathetically and intentionally.
